SOUTHEND BARNS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
As a bride (or a photographer) you don’t want to wake up the morning of the wedding and see that there is 45mph+ winds forecast. For me I imagine guests hiding inside, 101 touch ups to the brides hair and makeup and being seriously restricted when it comes to photographs. Unless you’re heading to Southend Barns, and unless its Karen & George you’re working with.
Karen wore minimal makeup, and only wore a TINY bit because she was practically pinned down by her sister. Mostly because shes such a natural beauty, she had no need for it, but also because George has always known her and loves her without makeup- LOVE that!
The soft peach gerberas in Karens bouquet by Bridal Flowers Direct, chosen by George as they’re his mums favourite flowers, went perfectly with everything from the cake with macarons by Suephisticated Cakes to the table settings and decor.
Southend barns has a brilliant sheltered undercover area with huge glass screens, which meant the guests could still be outside mingling and drinking without the ladies having the fear of a windy knicker flash!
We found a new spot for the family photos in the bridal garden, which was completely sheltered from the wind, and was actually a lovely time having all their nearest and dearest together.
Laughter was non stop through this day. Karens siblings had me (and everyone) in hysterics, and their friends really pulled out all the stops on the dance floor with Kamaro on the stage!
It was lovely to work with Outside & Instant for the first time, I love that they used the walls of the barn as the backdrop (I may have had a little go myself with Nathan from Shot by Cannon!)
