HATHERDEN FARM WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY When I woke up the morning of Emma & Bens wedding, the forecast was less then great. It has been SO windy and wet the day before, and so we were far from expecting sunshine- but we were surprised! After a few showers in the morning, the sun came out! The garden games got used, they got to arrive to Hatherden Farm in their mini with all their guests outside and the drinks receptions happen in the sunshine. Emma & Ben's wedding had a lot of really personal touches, with the barn and it's grounds covered in handmade games and decorations, and I loved how they made sure they had plenty of time to themselves on the day. HAMPSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY You meet at 7pm, at the quietest part of the beach on not the sunniest of days, it'll be quiet, right? Wrong. We just just a slight shock when we pulled in and the Kite Armada was taking place, the car park is shut and parts of the beach have marquees erected on them...oh. BUT it all worked out fine, with some selective angles to avoid marquees and too much windswept hair, we had a fabulous time and got them lots of beautiful photos!
TOURNERBURY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER Heather & Tim chose to do things a little differently then the 'norm' on their wedding day at Tournerbury, and it was perfection. They had a small intimate legal ceremony, with just their parents present, after both her Father and Step Father walked Heather down the aisle, and a larger Humanist ceremony with Jane Blackman as the celebrant slightly later in the day with the rest of their family and friends. I loved that as guests arrived for the second ceremony, Heather and Tim had time to themselves, knowing they were officially married, but excited to share the emotional ceremony with their loved ones. SO special. The details on the day were second to non, with Luvshifting Flowers installations giving a real wow factor to the marquee,…
SOUTHDOWNS MANOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER This wedding was a bit extra special for me, as I photographed Becky's sisters wedding at Old Thorns last summer! I feel incredibly privileged to have been there while their mum got both her daughters in their wedding dress, and to have watched their Dad walk both his daughters down the aisle. I'm sad that there aren't more siblings! Southdowns Manor is a wedding venue I am lucky enough to work at at least a couple of times a year, and since they added the outside ceremony area a couple of years ago I've been extra excited when I get to work here! It wasn't particularly warm the morning of Becky & Liam's wedding, so it was touch a go for a little while as to…
SOUTHEND BARNS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER As a bride (or a photographer) you don't want to wake up the morning of the wedding and see that there is 45mph+ winds forecast. For me I imagine guests hiding inside, 101 touch ups to the brides hair and makeup and being seriously restricted when it comes to photographs. Unless you're heading to Southend Barns, and unless its Karen & George you're working with. Karen wore minimal makeup, and only wore a TINY bit because she was practically pinned down by her sister. Mostly because shes such a natural beauty, she had no need for it, but also because George has always known her and loves her without makeup- LOVE that! The soft peach gerberas in Karens bouquet by Bridal Flowers Direct, chosen by George…
TOURNERBURY WOODS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER A throw back to when Chris and Emma tied the knot at Tournerbury Woods last summer! Emma & Chris had got the 'legal bit' over and done with earlier in the week, so that they could share their wedding cermeony with their nearest and dearest at Tournerbury Woods on Hayling Island over looking Langstone Harbour. Surrounded by woodland on one side and the water on the other, this really is the place to have your ceremony if you're looking for somewhere truly unique. With a bouquet made from flowers from a neighbours garden, and Emmas mum holding the hand fasting ceremony, complete with hymns, readings and a song sung by Emmas brother, the ceremony alone had so many personal components, which made this a really emotional…
FARBRIDGE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY I knew from my (very long) chats with Nat and Pete over coffee, that their wedding wedding was going to be something special. They both have an incredible attention to detail, which was evident within seconds of walking through the door of the Goodwood Hotel room Nat was getting ready in with her bridesmaids. Her bouquet by The Crazy Dairy Company, was the centerpiece to the entire day, with the colours of all the details stemming from it, including the bridesmaids dresses and Petes bow tie! Timings on the morning were checked regularly, meaning everything ran to time, leaving lots of time for photos with loved ones and TWO unveiling (to bridesmaids and then Dad!) Testament to my earlier statement of Nat's attention to detail, she gifted…
SOUTHEND BARNS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY My second wedding at Southend Barns in a week! Chloe & James had a soft pastel pink wedding in the sunshine! I don't think anybody was expecting the weather to be quite as fabulous as it was in late March, but nobody could have wished for more! I met Chloe at home in the morning, where it was lovely to see Jazz from Jazz Rawlins Bridal busy at work on the hair! This was my second wedding of the week working alongside Georgina Chambers makeup studio which was a lovely surprise! Luis from The Wedding Video Guys was his normal lovely self, blending in with the day, capturing all the moments from the biggest to the smallest, I can't wait to see his work from the…
SOUTHEND BARNS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER After a fabulous few months off from shooting weddings I was beyond excited to get back to it (and not be Mummy for a few hours!) Kerry and Nick tied the knot and celebrated their wedding at Southend Barns in West Sussex. Tucked away just south of Chichester, I have a LOT of weddings here this year and I couldn't be happier about it! On the day it was surprisingly sunny! I don't think many people who get married in March expect it to be sunny, let alone warm! The suncream was out (a shock to all!) and the shade was utilised! Kerry looked absolutely beautiful in her dress from Anya Bridal Couture, and it couldn't have gone more perfectly with the colours and the style…
